Coiled Wire Necklace
Welcome to Cara's Creations, your source for unique contemporary jewelry handmade by Cara Jablon in Washington, D.C. Cara, a retired attorney, has been designing jewelry since 1999. Her jewelry has been displayed and sold in numerous juried shows in the Washington, D.C. area. She is a juried member of the Northern Virginia Handcrafters Guild and is the past president of the Guild.
Cara's work includes coiled wire necklaces and earrings, woven and kumihimo necklaces, pewter and semi-precious stone necklaces and earrings, wood necklaces, and shaped wire earrings. She also makes metal-free pearl lariats, which are an ideal jewelry solution for women with metal allergies. Many of Cara's designs feature multi-color crystals or stones and make excellent travel jewelry.
Materials used in Cara's jewelry include fresh-water pearls, semi-precious stones, sterling silver, pewter, wire, wood, crystal and glass. All of Cara's necklaces have easy to use clasps, primarily toggles.
Pictured above on this page is a coiled wire necklace with blue, green and purple tones. Additional coiled wire necklaces are shown on the "coiled wire necklace" page. Coiled wire necklaces are available in gold/silver/copper, red/silver/black, and blue/turquoise combinations. Custom color combinations can be ordered. The "coiled wire necklace" page also displays a variety of multi-strand necklaces, including nine-strand crystal and glass necklaces.
The "pewter necklace" page displays necklaces with pewter and black onyx, pewter and red coral, pewter with multi-color semi-precious stones, pewter with glass floral beads, pewter squares, and pewter open squares with either multi-color crystals or gold-tone beads. Shown on the "other necklaces" page are a variety of necklaces, including blue, black and red kumihimo woven necklaces and other woven necklaces, pearl necklaces, several multi-strand necklaces, a chain necklace, multi-color crystal necklaces, a very lightweight rubber necklace and a delicate pewter and cord necklace. A variety of earrings are displayed on the "earrings" and "more earrings" pages. Note the new brick stitch beaded earrings (Cara can e-mail you pictures of more designs.) Most necklaces have matching earrings. Many of the pictured necklaces can be ordered in different lengths. Cara can also design a necklace, earrings, or a bracelet to your specifications.
